One point that jumps out for me is the importance of continuing to talk to customers, no matter your level. I have seen it too many times where leaders don’t allocate time and it ends up hurting their understanding of the customer.
Another sign is if you delay or stop doing research all together. Your research has an expiration date and needs to be refreshed at regular intervals. Unfortunately, have also seen companies delay or cancel. Sometimes due to over confidence, sometimes just laziness. Either way, bad results have followed.
